For those who cannot always enjoy fresh juice, a juice powder is a great way to get your wheatgrass on the run. The main advantages to taking powdered juice are its convenience and concentration. It takes about 25 ounces of fresh juice to make one ounce of powder. This concentration makes the powdered product a dense nutritional cocktail. It’s like taking a vitamin except it is in the form of a whole food with all the synergistic components that nature included. This is not the case with grasses that are just dried straight. Those are 1:1 products. Grasses that are dried are not nutritionally equivalent to products like this that are first juiced and then dried. That’s where the 25:1 concentration takes place.

The important part about picking a juice powder is how it is extracted and dehydrated. If there is any misstep in the production, quality is lost. This product is grown outdoors in nature with full solar energy and deep 18 inch roots that suck up all the minerals and trace minerals to enrich the plant. The product is first harvested and juiced in a cold press, then filtered and chilled at temperatures just above freezing in a cooler that has rare earth magnets to help align the molecules of juice. (This increases its staying power and digestibility.) The juice then travels at cold temperatures to the top of the dryer where it free-falls approximately 100 feet. This is how the water separates from the grass solids. Again all this is done without any heat. The grass is then bottled and vacuum sealed. Because it is grown outdoors in a cold climate, it has a very natural, delicate flavor that lacks the intensity of the tray grown wheatgrass that is much less mature.
