Last week was the annual Yoga and Raw Food Expo in New York. I was fortunate enough to attend this years event and made the best of my time there gathering great interviews of the Raw food industry pioneers, up and comers and everything in-between.

Today’s interview is with one of the Raw food industries pioneers Steve Meyerowitz a.k.a. “Sproutman”. Steve has been in the industry for over three decades now and is considered by most the authority when it comes to spouting techniques, nutrition facts and education. Steve got interested in natural and Raw foods after a twenty year battle with allergies and asthma, conventional medicine wasn’t helping. Steve decided to make some major lifestyle changes starting with his diet and within two months of eating Raw living foods, his ailments with asthma and allergies were no longer existent!

Sitting down with Steve this past week it was very clear to me that this man knew what he was talking about and was very passionate about educating the world. Every question I had for Brother Steve he answered thoroughly and with such confidence after the interview I made a mental note when I get home sprouting would forever be a big part of my diet and lifestyle.

The nutrition you get from sprouting is absolutely amazing whether you’re eating the spouts, putting them in smoothies or juicing them… this is one of the most effective (if not THE most effective) way to get nutrients into your body naturally.
