Sproutman's Organic Sprouting Seeds

Organically Grown, Pesticide-Free, Tested and Proven by Sproutman

A sample of what our seed packaging looks like. All our seeds are grown and harvested using third party certified organic methods. And they are kept in refrigerated storage year round. Not all seeds are equal! Too many unsproutable seeds on left. A tested and proven batch on the right.

Here are some frequently asked questions
and answers about our sprouting seeds...

"Steve, Thank you for sending me more than I had coming on my last shipment of sprouting seeds. I have been very pleased with the excellent service you have given me. You are a credit to the industry and I will be glad to do further business with you." --Sincerely, Pat Secrist, Midland, MI

Folks - This is a page from the Sproutman test kitchen database. Every seed is tested before I allow it to go to packaging and put my name on it. In fact, if you can read closely, sometimes I need to test the seed multiple times. As you can see, I may test 3 mungs or 4 pea shoots - whatever it takes to get the best seed nature can provide at the present time. It's hard work! But it is my passion and you get the benefit (and me too!). Another kind of seed test. This one done by a lab. I only buy from sources that provide a certificate of analysis such as this. The labs test for things like E. Coli, salmonella, yeast, and molds. Every bag gets stabbed with a 24 inch test tube to collect a sample. Every pallet gets a lot #. You get the same number on the back of your packet. The samples get grown and tested. Nothing in microbiology is 100%. But statistics say this gives us 99.9% - about the same risk as pedestrians getting hit by cars in in the USA in 2009.
