How the Grass Juice is Produced

As soon as the grass is cut, it is juiced in a high volume two stage custom-made juicer. It presses out all the liquid (the juice), and then it’s off to the freezer where a harsh minus fifty degrees Fahrenheit (-45°C.) freezes the juice in under thirty minutes. This locks in the nutrients and enzymes. Then all the air is sucked out creating a vacuum. In this environment the water molecules from the frozen grass are drawn to the colder condensing coil through a process called sublimation. Since the juice is ninety-six percent water, when sublimation is complete, only the grass solids remain. One hundred pounds of grass juice condense down to four pounds of grass solids.

The solids form flakes which are automatically added into HDPE (#2) plastic bottles in a climate controlled clean-room. When you look at it, the flakes sparkle in the light. The tiny crystals remind you of snowflakes. The products are good for a minimum of one year. You can extend their shelf life beyond that by storing it in the freezer. This is one company where all growing, juicing, and packaging are done under one roof.
